Origin Mayor Hill is one of Rupert Thorne 's men who was elected as mayor of Gotham City . As Thorne's henchman, Hill tried to discredit and replace the Commissioner Jim Gordon . He eventually replaced Gordon with Peter Pauling who was another one of Thorne's men. Moreover, he tried to find out who was really Batman and getting rid of Gordon was his first step. Other Media Mayor Hill made many appearances in Batman: The Animated Series . Unlike the comic version, Hill had no criminal associations and was a good mayor. He inadvertently created the Clock King and has been a target of him ever since. In the Batman Beyond future, he has a school named after him called, " Hamilton Hill High ." He appears in the Young Justice episode " Alpha Male " voiced by Corey Burton.
