Heap is a Image comic book character, the alter ego of Eddie Beckett, with over 86 comic issue appearances. A remake of the horror comic character the Heap. Todd McFarlane recreated the character as a being made from the garbage in the alleys of Rat City.

Who is Heap?

Origin When The Freak orders his men to kill Spawn one of them saves some of his Necroplasm . When the Freak kills him, the necroplasm is left in the alley. Eddie Beckett found the bag and kept it. When a thug killed him the necroplasm took control of his body and fused it with the garbage in the area creating the Heap. Spawn was attracted to the area known as the Dead Zone when he was ambushed and absorbed by The Heap. When Spawn awoke, he was in pitch black and only saw the ghost of the former Eddie Beckett who pointed him to the Greenworld. Creation The Original Heap A remake of the horror comic character The Heap (a Golden Age comic book character who fell into public domain ). Todd MacFarlane revived the character when Image bought out the rights to The Heap and other characters when Eclipse Comics went bankrupt.
