Who is Husk?

Origin Origin Paige is the second child of the Guthrie family in Cumberland, Kentucky . When her brother Sam ( Cannonball ) left home to become a member of the New Mutants , Paige developed an inferiority complex and became obsessed with the possibility that she could be a mutant. At the age of thirteen she tested herself with a wide range of challenges to try and discover her mutant powers. Unfortunately, Paige's trials only led to depression and frustration. At last her temper broke and she begged God to let her find her powers, threatening that she would tear her skin off if she was not a mutant. She made good on her threat and thus discovered that her mutant powers would allow her to produce additional layers of her skin. So overwhelmed by the discovery of her gifts, Paige dropped to her knees and cried for joy. She had finally become what she always wanted to be.
