Hypnos is a son of Nyx /Nox, Goddess of the Night. He is often depicted alongside his brother and look-alike Thanatos (Death). Hypnos is said to have mated with Pasithea, one of the Charites (Graces). Their sons were Morpheus (God of Dreams), Phobetor (God of Nightmares), and Phantasus (A deity providing the scenery for both dreams and nightmaresmetimes considered a God of Imagination. ) Marvel Comics Marvel's interpretation of Hypnos first appeared in Avengers: No Road Home #2 , and was co-created by writers Al Ewing , Mark Waid and Jim Zub alongside artist Joshua James Shaw .
