Who is Irene Adler?

Origin Born in 1858 and raised in New Jersey , Irene Adler pursued a career as a contralto opera singer, performing at La Scala in Italy . At some point in her travels in Europe she developed a reputation as an "adventuress", implicitly a courtesan. She travelled to Poland where she was the prima donna at the Imperial Opera in Warsaw for a term. While in Warsaw she met and became involved in an affair with the then-Crown Prince of Bohemia, Wilhelm Gottsreich Sigismund von Ormstein. The Crown Prince eventually returned to Prague , and Adler retired to London . Creation Irene Adler was originally created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for his Sherlock Holmes stories. She made her first appearance in "A Scandal in Bohemia". She made her first appearance in comics in Super Detective Library #74.
