Origin Jonothan Drew was married to Miriam Drew and father of Jessica Drew ( Spider-Woman ), former partner of Edgar Wyndham (High Evolutionary). On Wundagore Mountain in Central Europe, Jonathan Drew and his wife Miriam planned to build a research laboratory with fellow scientist Herbert Edgar Wyndham . They discover some Uranium and realize they may be rich. They soon begin mining operations and have agreed to have their lab built for free if they help a man build a spacecraft. A mysterious stranger gives Wyndham and Drew some new workers for the mine, an offshoot of humanity know as Subterraneans .
