Who is Jonathan Steele?

Origin Jonathan it seems lives in two different worlds, at times he is a retired master thief who lives in a world that seems like ours but in which magic exists and is a common part of life, in his modern day adventures he has mostly given up thievery and works with a powerful witch named Jasmine and a half-fairy named Myriam for an organization called the Enchantment Agency. From time to time however Jonathan has visions of his other life which takes place in the year 2020, in these adventures Steel is a detective and the world at large knows nothing about magic until it is forced on them when thousands of people worldwide spontaneously mutant into magic wielding creatures. How, and if these two worlds and their Jonathan Steels are connected has yet to be revealed.
