Living in the body of Betsy, she assumed the codename "Revanche" and briefly joined the X-Men before dying of the Legacy Virus. Who is Kwannon?
Origin Trained to kill The young girl known as Kwannon was raised to be a deadly assassin by the organization known as The Hand . Taught that her gifts brought mercy to the people vying for power within modern civilization, she was ordered to kill as her master's weapon. It is implied that she had a name before Kwannon, but she has since forgotten it. At some point she began a secret relationship with a boy and bore a daughter. Her master discovered this, killed the boy, and took Kwannon's daughter from her to teach her loss. Creation Kwannon first appeared in X-Men #17 (Feb 1993) and was created by Fabian Nicieza and Andy Kubert , although Chris Claremont originally came up with the initial ideas of the character. Character Evolution The character of Kwannon herself wasn't established until a while after the body swap. The character was introduced believing herself to be the real Elizabeth Braddock, travelling with the X-Men and Psylocke to find out what really happened.
