She is a red skinned demoness who disguised herself as Angelica Blaze, a night club owner in Metropolis. She used her position at the club to steal souls. She and her brother Satanus who are half demons are the children of the wizard Shazam and a demoness.

When Lobo attacked her, Dr. Veritas freed her to stop the alien, but it was unnecessary: Supergirl was the one who drive Lobo away. But Blaze take advantage of the confusion and escaped from the Block, searching for Silver Banshee . Origin Blaze has been working behind the scenes for along time, being involved in the creation of Superman villains Silver Banshee and Skyhook . A red-skinned demoness with horns, she disguises herself as Metropolis nightclub owner Angelica Blaze to steal souls. Superman follows her to Hell to fight for the souls of Jimmy Olsen and Perry White 's son Jerry . Superman manages to save Jimmy Olsen, but Blaze succeeds in taking Jerry White's soul.
