Lee is a Fallen Angel living in the city of Bete Noire , which means Black Beast. Bete Noire is actually Enoch, the city build by Cain as narrated in Genesis. The city is apparently sentient and has various mystical effects on its residents and visitors. It apparently also chooses who enters and leaves its limits. Outer forces, such as God, have no dominion or effect in the city. Origin DC Lee is a young redheaded woman with blue eyes who has been living there for some time. Lee was a beloved and valued guardian angel but one day she made a serious mistake and to punish her she was sent to Earth, to the city of Bete Noire. Some call her Fallen Angel, but she hates being called that, she prefers Lee even if it is not her real name.
