Faye (or Fay) Gunn, better known as Ma Gunn, runs a school for young boys in Crime Alley. The school appears to those on the outside as an attempt to help the children of Crime Alley prepare for a better life, when in reality it is a front for training young criminals. The Batman discovers this when he sends Jason Todd there, hoping it will help the street kid. Ma Gunn would later get in involved with Jason's own efforts to mentor teenage criminals.
