When the U.R.R.S. began to dissolve, young gymnast Makita followed her father Rudov Galilei into the Nokgorkan resistance, waging war when she was just a young teen. Now a seasoned warrior in her mid-teens, Makita is a force to be reckoned with in hand-to-hand and weaponed combat. As Makita's father lay dying, he gave her a letter for Maya Antares . Not knowing that Maya was a member of the Red Fleet and ergo her enemy, Makita delivered the letter. The letter turned out to be from Maya's husband Marcus Antares , who had been presumed dead. The contents of the letter spurred the crew of the Konstantinov into mutiny, dragging the reluctant Makita along for the ride.
