Origin Kaina is from the planet Contraxia . She was one of two sent to Earth to try and discover a method to save the star of their system. She would study physics under the alias Marcy Kane while the other would become involved with the Earthling Phillip Hart. Calling herself Marie, she and Phillip would have a son named Jack Hart . Creation Marcy Kane was created by Bill Mantlo and Jim Mooney and first appeared in The Spectacular Spider-Man Vol.1 issue 32 (1979). Her true heritage was only explained in the Jack of Hearts mini-series from 1984. Major Story Arcs Finding her Son and Peter Parker While attending New Haven College in Connecticut , Marcy formed a bond with her son Jack Hart, without telling him she was his mother. But after Jack was involved in an accident that changed him into the Jack of Hearts, he never told her or returned to her.
