Creation Mazaran was created by writer John Ney Rieber and penciler Gary Amaro in The Books of Magic issue 1 , in 1994. Major Story Arcs Mazaran is an elf lord who is fairly contemptuous of humans, calling them "clayborn." Nevertheless, when Titania asks him to be a messenger, and to summon Tamlin to her, Tamlin manages to humble him by simply throwing dirt in his eyes.
