Origin Little is known about the origin of Mrs Hudson. It is speculated that she is Scottish , but this is unconfirmed. At some point she established a home at 221 Baker Street, an upscale residential building. She rented out one of her apartments, 221B , to Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson . Though Holmes was an eccentric tenant, he paid well and she was quite fond of him. Creation Mrs Hudson was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle . She makes her first appearance in A Study in Scarlet .
