Who is Nadir?

Nadir is an Indian prince who after his mother and father are killed by bandits brings his "knowledge of the mystic secret of the Far East" and his wealth to the West to fight crime. His series ended in "New Adventure Comics" #30 with Nadir being strangulated. It might have been intended as a cliffhanger at the time but it could also serve as his death scene.
