Nereel is a Marvel comic book character, with over 66 comic issue appearances. Nereel is a native of the Savage Land and a woman whom Colossus had a romantic relationship with. This relationship most likely produced a child, with Nereel the mother and probably Colossus being its father.

Who is Nereel?

Origin Nereel was a native girl from the Savage Land . Her friend Shakani and herself were saved by Colossus from a thunder lizard and shefell in love with him. A short and passionate relationship followed while Colossus stayed in the Savage Land, most likely with the two having sexual relations. Creation Nereel was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men issue 114 (1977). Major Story Arcs Reunited with Colossus Colossus later return to the Savage Land and saw a much more matured Nereel, now head tribesman. She also had a young son also named Peter (although Colossus was never told about his name). Although it was never acknowledged, it is strongly suggested with many hints that Peter jr. is the son of Colossus.
