The Qwardians gave him a yellow power ring to stop the Green Lantern , Kyle Rayner . They wanted someone who was imaginative as Rayner and Nero drew horrible creatures when he was young. He went on a rampage and beat both Kyle Rayner and Alan Scott . Later, Kyle had the Justice League to help fight Nero. They finally beat him by showing tapes of his parents which then made him go crazy and he made constructs of his parents which taunted him. He then disappeared. He came back later to fight Kyle Rayner again.
