Who is Pocus?

Pocus, along with his partner Hocus , have a stage magic act in Metropolis. Originally, they were bad stage magicians whose tricks rarely worked until one day a series of amazing coincidences made them look like they had real magic powers. They have an expressive, almost anthropomorphic rabbit named Merton that assists them. They actually cannot perform any real magic, but sometimes believe they can when Superman (unbeknownst to them) uses his powers to support their illusions.
