Who is Priest?

Green Lantern Status: Deceased Space Sector: 1634 Sector Partner: Service pre-dates Sector Partners Homeworld: Unknown Predecessor: Green Lantern of Selsia V Successor: Unknown Background Priest was a Green Lantern who began his service with the Green Lantern Corps hundreds of years ago. Having been chosen by the Guardians of the Universe to be the successor to the Green Lantern of Selsia V, Priest was sent to to retrieve the Fallen Lantern 's power ring . However, the ring was being worn by the Fallen Lantern's son, Lord Malvolio , who had killed his father, stole his ring, and took control of his homeworld. The Guardians ordered Priest to eliminate Malvolio upon retrieval of the power ring. Priest defeated the Lantern killer but imprisoned Malvolio within a starless void of Sector 1634, instead of executing him. For not following through with the orders given him, Priest was stripped of his ring and banished to an asteroid belt within Sector 1634, as well. Over the course of time, Priest came across Hal Jordan and enlisted his aid to forge a peace treaty between warring factions in Sector 1634. Jordan would have his own conflict with Lord Malvolio some time later.
