Who Is Prince Dezan? Origin, Powers and Key Facts

Prince Dezan is a Marvel comic book character, the alter ego of Dezan, with over 4 comic issue appearances. A member of Skrull royalty. He was imprisoned years ago for being a Skrull that wanted peace between his people and other races, which made him a freak to other Skrulls. He would later aid the Avengers and the Fantastic Four in trying to stop two renegade Skrulls from destroying their race.

Who is Prince Dezan?

Overview Dezan is the younger brother of deceased Emperor Dorrek. Dezan was imprisoned for being considered a radical, in that he wanted Skrulls to stop creating and fighting wars all the time, and was made to wear an inhibitor mask which prevented him from using the Skrull ability to shape shift as well as cover his face. Dezan was considered extremely hideous by Skrull standards which for a race of shapeshifters is very hypocritical. After Dorrek died, R'Klll became queen until she and Princess Anelle were killed by Galactus destroying the ThroneWorld. This should have rightfully made Dezan king as he was the last of the Royal family but this was not to happen because the Skrulls still considered him a traitor and a freak. Rescued from Imprisonent Dezan was eventually rescued from the Skrull prison world Klarr by three other Skrulls. After the rescue he was taken to the Skrull colony, Kral IV; where he met the Avengers who were accompanying Major Syrro. It turned out that two former friends of Dezan, Zabyk and Mym, were determined to launch a Hyper-Wave bomb which would destroy the Skrull race as they know it.
