History Toby Purple Claw The Purple Claw is an ancient purple metallic glove that grants it’s wearer certain powers and abilities as long as that person uses it to fight evil. One of the longest holders of the Purple Claw was Dr. Jonathan Weir of the U.S. Army Medical Corps who received the glove when he saved an African tribe from a plague. Doctor Weir then spent more than 10 years using the glove, and being used by it, to fight evil, usually of a supernatural nature. It is unknown who made the Purple Claw, what powers it, or how old it is. Since then, the character has fallen into public domain .
