Pythia is the goddess that controls the Garden of Hope, the only place that could be dubbed beautiful on Apokolips. The garden is often visited by Darkseid himself when he is stressed out. Role in 'Orion': After Darkseid tries and fails to escape from Orion who now has the Anti-Life Equation, he seeks final refuge in the Garden of Hope. Searching for Pythia but finding nothing, Darkseid rampages through the Garden until his actions draw her out. Stating that he is welcome to come, but must be peaceful if he wants to stay, he fires the Omega beams at her which get flicked away. After reminding him of past losses against her & offering hospitality, Darkseid sees the wisdom in her approach and the 2 discuss the future of Apokolips. Their meeting gives Darkseid hope.... and the Garden gives his prep time to finish his son once and for all.
