Who is Rachel Carpenter?

Origin Rachel is the daughter of Julia Carpenter , the superhero formerly known as Spider-Woman and Arachne, now Madame Web. Although Rachel never went on the hero-path herself, she was witness to a lot of super-hero conflicts in her short life. Creation Rachel Carpenter was created by Danny Fingeroth and Tom Morgan and first appeared in Iron Man Volume 1 issue 214 (1987). Major Story Arcs Avengers and Custody Not soon after her mother got superhuman powers, Rachel's mother started to work freelance for the West Coast Avengers . During this time, Rachel had some troubles in her position of being the child of divorced parents. Both Rachel's father and her mother filed for custody of her, which was eventually won by her mother. Force Works When the Avengers West Coast division was terminated, Rachel joined her mother to the superhero group known as Force Works . Rachel and her mother even moved into the base of the group called, The Works .
