Both her parents had different ideas of what they wanted for their young daughter, her father supported his daughter's skillful dancing and wished for her to show them off in movies out in Hollywood. Rita's mother desired that she become a professional actress and appear on the big screen. Both got their wish in a way as Rita would eventually become one of the biggest movie stars in the entire world during the 1940's and 50's. Some of her more notable films include; Cover Girl, The Loves of Carmen, Affair in Trinidad, and You'll Never Get Rich, among other films. Rita Hayworth would ultimately died as a result of Alzheumer's Disease on May 14, 1987, she was 68 years old.
