Who is Ryne?

Origin Born in Malkier, his family moved to Arafel when he was a young man, and he thoroughly assimilated himself into the culture. As an adult he found work as a merchant's guard. After his merchant is murdered he meets up with al'Lan Mandragoran and Bukama Marenellin Creation Ryne was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time , making his first appearance in the prequel, New Spring . He made his first comic appearance in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time: New Spring #6, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Harvey Tolibao . Major Story Arcs New Spring Having begun travelling with Lan and Bukama, he accompanies them and Moiraine Damodred on the way to Chachin. Unbeknownst to them, he is a Darkfriend who has been ordered to kill them by one of the members of the Black Ajah, Merean Redhill . He manages to kill Bukama, but is himself killed while fighting Lan. Powers and Abilities Ryne is a very skilled swordsman; Lan believes that he is better even than Lan himself.
