Creation Robin Curtis as Saavik Saavik was created for the second Star Trek film , and played by Kirstie Alley . She would later be in the next two films , played by actress Robin Curtis . The character was rumored to have been fathered by a Romulan posing as an important Vulcan aide. The plot was later intended to be recycled into the Star Trek: Enterprise prequel; either as the father of the character T'Pol , or T'Pol being the mother of Saavik.
