Origin Living in Myst , Esmeralda was seduced by a Highborn of great power. His duties to the four realms took him away much of their time, but they had nonetheless two children, Jacob and Simmone. When the Highborn's wife Venus discovered the affair of her husband, she kidnapped Esmeralda's kids and killed them. Punishing Esmeralda for her beauty, Venus transformed Esmeralda into a sea witch. When the Highborn returned, Esmeralda blamed him for her transformation and killed him, claiming Esmeralda is dead. Major Story Arcs In The Little Mermaid, the Sea Witch tries to manipulate a young woman, Erica, whose mother is being manipulated by Belinda. The young woman has lived in poverty her whole life but her mother thinks it is time that she start paying her back for her own years of suffering. Despite the fact that the young woman is working hard in university, her mother insists that she try to seduce a professional basketball player.
