Origin Short-Fuze's real name is Mark W. Friestadt and he was born in Chicago , Illinois. He comes from a family with a strong military background; his father and grandfather were both sergeants. His file notes that he enjoys abstract mathematics and can plot artillery azimuths and triangulation's in his head. He's known to lose his temper from time to time which contributes to his code name as much as his military specialty. Short-Fuze's military specialty is artillery and he serves as the Joes ' mortar soldier. His specialized education includes artillery school, Engineer School, and Advanced Infantry Training. He holds the rank of corporal E-4.
