Who is Shrapnel?

History The origin of Shrapnel is unknown. He came into conflict with the Doom Patrol while on a murder spree. Celsius , the leader of the Doom Patrol, encased him in a solid block of ice. He broke free from the block of ice and the shards hit Celsius point blank and hospitalized her. Lodestone was unable to magnetize him and Tempest figured out that Shrapnel is a series of organic cells creating a single consciousness that feeds on the blood of victims. He was a member of The Suicide Squad for a mission. He has also had run-ins with one of the incarnations of Hawk and Dove and the Birds of Prey. Shrapnel joined Alexander Luthor 's Secret Society of Super Villains .
