Dave Cox is the Slayer. The Slayer's true identity is Dave Cox. He was a Vietnam vet who lost his right arm in the war but vowed not to use violence again after his experience in Nam. He was a personal friend of Captain America and was targeted by Mother Superior and Baron Zemo . They ended up capturing him and used him as an experiment. They corrupted his beliefs, his mind and twisted his ideals. He was set loose to attack Captain America and Nomad . He was able to knock out Captain America during their first encounter and began to engage Nomad.
