Spartan is a DC Comics comic book character, the alter ego of Hadrian, with over 314 comic issue appearances. An biosynthetic entity created to hold the personality Yon Kohl, a Kherubim warrior. He is the leader of the WildC.A.T.S and took over as president of the Halo Corporation when Lord Emp ascended.

Who is Spartan?

Origin John Colt/Hadrian/Jack Marlow Spartan is an android, a robot with human form created by kherubim technology to hold the identity of the alien warlord Yon Colt. He is part of the series of cyborgs of this model based on Khol himself and created as the war effort against the Kherubim-Daemonite war. When the ship with Khol and a kherubim crew fell on earth, the kherubims continued their war against the daemonites in the next millenia. In the 1930's Yon Kohl changed his name to John Colt and began a career as an adventurer and an American Hero. However during their first mission with Team one, a group composed by future members and enemies of WildCATs and Stormwatch, Majestic was forced to shoot against Colt to acomplish the mission. Colt was believed to have died. But Lord Emp tried to save his personality by transfering most of that to an android body. Since then the mind of Khol would survive through several bodies as the bodyguard of Emp, but never admiting himself as Colt until the events of Fire from Heaven.
