Who is Spikes Harvey Rotten?

Created by John Wagner and originally drawn by Bill Ward and Brian Bolland , Spikes Harvey Rotten appears in the 2000AD series: Judge Dredd . Spikes originally appearing in a two-part Dredd story - The Mega-City 5000 (about a group of biking thugs staging their own illegal race across the mega-city). An overweight and hirsute biker, he is apprehended by Dredd and the original Judge Giant at the end of the story, but re-appears twenty issues later, thinner (and not quite so hairy) when he accompanies Dredd on his quest across the Cursed Earth to save Mega-City Two from a killer virus. On the way he befriends the alien Tweak , who promises him riches beyond his wildest dreams. A kindness on Tweak's part, he can see the future and knows that Spike will die before the journey's end...
