Origin Stevie Hunter was a professional ballet dancer but this changed due to an injury to her knee. It forced her to stop her career and her full time dancing. As she could never stop dancing all together, she found an alternative. She began a dance studio in witch she gave dance lessons to applied students. This is how she came into contact with the X-Men . Creation Stevie Hunter is a Marvel character created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne . Her first appearance was in X-Men #139 Character Evolution Although unable to continue professionally dancing, Stevie fit in very well with the X-Students, contributing not just to their dance instruction, but as someone willing to help despite her lack of powers. Her genuine affection for the students and its faculty has remained constant.
