Creation The Swine-Demon was created by Robert E. Howard and first appeared in the unfinished fragment "The Snout in the Dark". "The Snout in the Dark" was completed and given it's final title by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter in 1969. The Swine-Demon appeared in the adaptation of "The Snout in the Dark" by Roy Thomas , John Buscema and Ernie Chan in 1980 which appeared in Conan The Barbarian # 106 and 107. Recently the Swine-Demon has appeared in the adaptation by Fred Van Lente in Dark Horse Comics Conan the Avenger issues 1-6.
