A number of criminals have taken the moniker of the Basher in the Marvel Universe and have encountered various heroes including Speedball and Spider Man . One man that was called the Basher use to be a rookie cop in Springdale that couldn't hack being an officer and dropped out of the force. He took his revenge on cops by attacking them with iron balls and was wanted for placing three officers in the hospital. Robbie Baldwin was a young teenage hero called Speedball when he encountered the Basher. The Basher was about to ambush two cops outside of Al's Diner but Speedball stopped the villain. The Basher ran into a building but his escape route was blocked by Speedball. The Basher took another exit but was apprehended by the two cops. Creation The Basher was created by Roger Stern and Steve Ditko in 1989 and first appeared in Speedball # 5.
