Who is Valérian?
In comics Valerian is the creation of Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin, first appearing in Pilote in 1967. In the year 2720, Valerian is an agent of the Spatio-Temporal Service, protecting the planets of the Terran Empire from various threats created through time-travel. He meets Laureline in 1000 A.D. and takes her back to his own time, where she joins him on missions for the Spatio-Temporal Service. The two appear together in both Pilote and their own title, Valérian et Laureline. Other media From 2007-2008, Valérian et Laureline (a.k.a. Time Jam: Valerian and Laureline ) aired in France. While the French-Japanese production only lasted one season, it did last for forty episodes.
