Who is Zane Whelan?

Brief History Zane Whelan was an intern at the Daily Bugle whom was smoking weed while on an assignment with Peter Parker (Spider-Man). He was on drugs when the super-villain Mysterio attacked them but he thought it was amazing because of the drugs. Spider-man intervened and tried to defeat the villain, but he fled with Spider-man in persuit. Zane then started his Van and went in hot persuit as well. Because of his drug-habbit, he almost crashed his car from a bridge, with only Spider-man being able to save him. He then learned that drugs are bad, hmm-kay. Creation Zane was created as a character for an anti-drug use campaign and starred in a four-part story that was published as a back-up in a variety of Marvel Comics from November 1999 till May 2000.
