Who Is Armor? Origin, Powers and Key Facts

Armor is a Marvel comic book character, the alter ego of Hisako Ichiki, with over 1,691 comic issue appearances. Hisako Ichiki is a teenage mutant from Japan that studied at the Xavier Institute before becoming an X-Man. Her mutant power allows her to create psionic "armor", giving her enhanced strength and durability. During the rise of Krakoa, Hisako joined S.W.O.R.D.

Who is Armor?

Origin Xavier Institute Armor's real name is Hisako Ichiki. She originally came to the Xavier Institute with the hope becoming one of the X-Men . She would usually hang around her friend Wing, a mutant capable of flying. She talked to him about his choice to ask Kitty Pryde if she was "a retard" and admitted to him that she knew he had "the hots" for her. Shortly after her talk with him, Armor and her trusted friend Wing are attacked in the Xavier Institute during an assault by Ord , an alien villain from Breakworld . Ord overpowers the two and injects Wing with a mutant "cure". Luckily, they both survive. Creation Hisako was created by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday and first appeared in Astonishing X-Men #4 in October 2004.
