Cinnamon is a DC Comics comic book character, the alter ego of Katherine Manser, with over 75 comic issue appearances. Kate Manser was a gun-slinging Western heroine who partnered with the Rough Bunch. She and her lover Nighthawk were one of the many reincarnations of Hawkgirl and Hawkman.

Who is Cinnamon?

Origin Kate Manser was the only daughter of a widowed sheriff on small town Wyoming . When he was gunned down by fleeing bank robber, she was left alone and she vowed revenge. She honed her skills at marksmanship and also trained physically to prepare for her goal of vengeance. She soon set off on her journey to find those that had killed her father. Creation Cinnamon was created as a relatively uncommon female hero for DC ’s Western based stories. Her first appearance was in Weird Western Tales #48 (1978). Character Evolution The character had a relatively short publication history and little is shown in terms of character development. Some time later it is revealed that Kate Manser is the reincarnation of the Egyptian Princess Chay-Ara and thus related spiritually to Hawkgirl .
