Who is Gedirath?

Gedirath and the rest of his race were imprisoned in the Promethean galaxy for attempting to learn the secret of the Source . He spent millions of years chained to a massive celestial body, until he was discovered by Darkseid , the evil god of Apokolips . Darkseid had his minions install a massive mind control device into Gedirath, turning him into a sleeping weapon to be used against his enemies . When Orion learned the Anti-Life equation and wrestled control of Apokolips from his father, Darkseid sent a signal and awoke Gedirath, commanding him to destroy Earth. However, not even mighty Gedirath was immune to the Anti-Life equation, and soon Orion robbed him of his will and commanded him to spread the word of anti life across the cosmos. What latter happened to him is unknown.
