Who is Rita?

Character History Rita is a campus activist at Toronto University in the era of the Grendel Khan . She puts on a rally against the the Khan's troops, the Grendel Corps, arguing that they are being used without oversight, and that the Khan's actions are too aggressive. Her first rally is broken up by the police, who ultimately light the location on fire to get rid of the protesters. Rumors abound that the Grendel Corps is coming in response to the rally. She stages a second protest, now protesting the way the first rally was violently broken up. The Grendel Corps do indeed appear. She throws a rock at them, and they open fire on the crowd. She runs, and ends up on a nearby building's roof with Marcus Brand .
