Ron Troupe. Ron is a graduate of Howard University who was the editor of the school's newspaper. He also had several internships including one at the Daily Planet. Ron applied for and was hired as an editorial assistant position at Newstime magazine. ( Adventures of Superman #481 ) As a Daily Planet reporter; he often disagreed with Daily Planet's sports editor Steve Lombard on almost everything. This has been retconned out as has his son Sam Troupe who was named after his father in law. Troupe first appeared as a replacement for Clark Kent in a year without Superman. Other Media Smallville Ron Troupe only appeared in the episode 10x18 " Booster " and had only a cameo.
