When the X-Men sent the Island Krakoa into space, one of his spores landed back on Earth and gained sentience. Landing near an island, the spore started calling itself Vega-Superior the son of KraKoa. Feeding oh the natives he grew in power. But he was opposed by Nightcrawler of Excalibur.
