Who is Wide Load Annie?

Before marrying and opening the Short Stop with her husband, Poppa Wheelie , Anne Wheelie was a trucker. Annie has a fiery temper and loves to fight. Annie once tossed Phil LeGreed out of a window when he threatened to foreclose on the Wheelie's mortgage. She afterwards hid out with U.S. Archer on a haul until things cooled down. During that haul, she raced and defeated Iron Mike , a biker who had been terrorizing a small town. When it was discovered that Iron Mike had been defeated by a middle aged woman, his reign or terror came to a close. Creation Wide Load Annie was created by Al Milgrom and Herb Trimpe in 1983 and first appeared in U.S.
